The new site is coming along nicely.  I hope to have it up by February 4th, 2012.  The backgroud colors will not be so dark.  We will have both Ventrilo and Mumble voice servers status on the main page.  I am evaluation different ways to provide a profile page for our members so they can share various characters, aspects or projects to their game with others.  Till next time...

Horde Invasion will be moving from our current website that is a guild service to a website of our own construction.  The reason to use a guild site service has been undermined by Blizzard's relentless changes to their armory.  Those changes disconnected everyone down the line that used the armory for data updates to guild sites like ours.  Web developers like myself liked not having to work at building a site for a game.  We will keep it simple yet keep our ventrilo voice server module.   HordeInvasion.com will land on the new site once it is complete.

2012 finds Horde Invasion hitting level 23 thanks to our members efforts.  We have also changed our guild ranks and requirements so please take a look below.  Here is to a great 2012!

Ranks & Requirements 

Below you will find our guild levels.  Ventrilo voice (vent) software use is a must if you are to progress in this game as a team in either PvE or PvP.  Voice allows faster communication and without it a guild is doomed.  Many of us have played for a long time and plan on playing a lot longer so we also get to know each other.  While not as fast as the Matrix, downloading tips, tricks and general know how simply can't be done any faster. When a member joins if they need help to get it set up, we provide it.  To download this free program go to ventrilo.com.

Initiate - Newly recruited

Member - Got in vent (Ventrilo voice server) and were set up with a protected username. 

Veteran - Regular in vent.  Actively playing.  

Vanguard - Have an 85.  Active in PvP at any level.

Vacation - Inactive officers (we all come back)

Guild Leader - Reputation for helping others. Puts at lease one event on the guild calendar each month and has an authenticator. 

Battle/Raid Masters - Battle Master leads our PvP effort.  Raid Master leads our PvE effort.

Guild Master - Have made Horde Invasion home and established a reputation of trust and dedication to the guild.

Hello and Welcome to Horde Invasion (HI).  We are a guild within the World of Warcraft founded in 2006 on Anub'arak.  We are a full spectrum guild which means we are active in many types of game play.  We created Horde Invasion initially for the 10-19 battleground Warsong Gulch and the "twinks•" we played and added "mains■" for support.  Over time we recognized that we liked being diverse and began promoting other types of game play. One of our guiding principles in building HI is that we wanted to find other players to have fun with that added to the enjoyment of the game.  We sought out players who were good competitors and good people.  Many of our members had been in other guilds where drama was rampant and a sense of fair play was not to be found.  We worked hard to proactively establish a sense of fairness and minimal drama.  We also realize that life happens and that people will come and go and come back again.

These efforts led many former guild masters, officers and mature players to join with us.  We quickly exceeded the guild controls (at that time) ability to tabulate our membership.  Players began transferring to or re-rolling on Anub'arak to be a part of the fun.  Our guild began fielding 10 man "premades♥" in the 10-19 bracket and quickly dominated the battleground.  On occasion we would have 2 or more premades running in Warsong Gulch.  Highly competitive players from many realms began to take notice and they too came to join HI.  Before long we branched out to other servers.

At the core of our guild is the concept that fair-play is fun as is a supportive, drama free environment.  Some of us have taken some time off and are returning and guess what?  Yep, our old friends are still here mixed in with some new people that get what it is all about.  We realize that if we want that we have to create that and so we did.  If you want to help us keep creating it, come join the fun.
